Welcome to the Community!

Hey!! Look who's scrolled down to check the welcome text. I'll give a short welcome to you guys, and a couple of 'thank you' s for whatever button you clicked to have ended up here in this little blog of mine. It's nothing professional, but it surely is special! Not for you maybe, but just for your information I've wasted precious time just to make the blog appear decent and pretty in my opinion - not to mention all of the posts you see here! So don't judge before you actually look into things!
I've added a couple of pages just to organize all the things I have in this blog so that you guys have a better time of searching things up rather than having every post of different topics all jumbled up in one single home page.
Yeah, I think I'm done with my welcome text. Without further ado, welcome to my little blog of thoughts.

*You really didn't need to finish everything to start reading stuff here, but I appreciate it if you have. :)

Note from the Author!

Hey... so after all these reviews and quotes I've been posting these past few days; all these beautiful works that people have created out of nothing - are just amazing. But really, who should we thank for all these? God the Creator, of course! If not for Him, who are we to still be able to live on this earth and enjoy its beauty? So yeah, we must give thanks to Him, the Ultimate Creator and Ruler of Kings. Read and reflect by clicking here!
So for a heads up, the link will lead you to my other blog, God in My Story. Read all about God, and remember His kindness!

God bless!

Quotes from Jackie Evancho

"I know this may sound a little cheesy but I really, really want to see a difference in how the world is treated because I am a big fan of taking care of the world."

"I just hope that every little kid who has a dream gets to follow it because, if I got to follow my dream, then they deserve to too."

"I'm trying my best not to become a jerk."

"Talking about kids and using the word sexy is kinda gross..."

Book Talk: The One

Hey there! So, I've finally had time to write a book talk/review about The One, the last sequel to the Selection series. I'll just admit that I love how the book ended. So, fans out there, there's no need to worry!
You guys would probably worry about the choice America would make in this last book, but honestly, there's not much of an option here. Her final decision was her initial decision.
Read on below for more discussion!

The One by Kiera Cass (The Selection Series)

So for those of you who want a heads up, but not entirely spoil the book, here's a notice: 4 important people died in this book. I'll leave it to you to guess who they are, or just go ahead and read the book!

Warning: Major Spoilers!

So I don't know how to give a professional review, but one thing for sure, I thought this book was awesome.
I gotta say, the 'final decision' was actually quite obvious. Unless some major twists are applied in this book, the answer was right there from the first book. Kind, attractive, and thoughtful... you're right: it's our beloved Prince Maxon Schreave! And I believe all of you, like me, would love the ending that will leave you in tears of joy.
Maxon was just perfect. During the time she left the palace to attend her father's funeral (discussed later on), he spent his entire time thinking about America, and writing to her. That was SO SWEET. Like, he could have spent his time with the other girls, but he didn't, he was just right there waiting for her.
In the previous books, America would go behind his back to be with Aspen, I feel so sorry for Maxon. It's like wanting to shout to her, Why would you do that to the one that's been thinking about you all the time, and entirely wants you to be happy?
Fortunately, their problems were solved. And they know that they'll be facing hard times in the future that could probably bring their relationship to a sore spot. But with what they've been through, all the arguments, indecision, and misunderstandings - their relationship have been built on a strong foundation.
And before this final decision thing, there's Maxon sacrificing his own life for America even after knowing Aspen had been the one she's been seeing all this time in the palace. That part was so sad.
But yes, the ending was so beautiful. Even Aspen gets to be with the love of his life, Lucy. (this was kind of a shocker to me)

Celeste. I seriously don't know about this girl. She was the most evil thing in the whole world, and in the blink of an eye - she's the sweetest thing ever. Wow. Sometimes I just don't get how these twists work in stories - they just change things. (well, duh)
But yes, her death was really sad for me. Even when I really wished something would just happen to her when reading the previous books. Now I hoped she could've just survived that attack and come visit America in the palace with her advice. ('Cause you can always use an advice from an ex-villain)

Celeste was one of the important deaths, another one that really broke my heart: America's Dad, Shalom Singer.
Mr. Singer was just so understanding, he's always been there for America when she needed someone. She could always count on him for advice. Now, he was gone. Like, just GONE. He should've been the one that's resting America's hand on Maxon, to give her permission to marry; which had been her lifelong wish - but no such luck. Aspen gets the job.

Queen Amberly, the beautiful, lovely queen. I was really hoping she would be looking after America, and finally having another child to take care of. But why does she have to die??? Queen Amberly died an honorable death, a selfless death. A selfless sacrifice that gained her respect even to the end of her life.

The last death was King Clarkson's, the one that I thought would be coming sooner or later in the book. I believe almost every fan of the series looked forward for this arrogant, spiteful king would leave their lives at some point. Though deaths are unpleasant things to hope for, and could be quite evil, I wasn't as sad for his death as I have been for the others. But being optimistic, the king was respectable for his act of service to the country, though not perfect, he tried to become an honorable ruler.

And I just have to say, to those of you who haven't read the book, look forward to the marriage proposal. Because it was beautiful!!! Enough said, read the ONE!
