Welcome to the Community!

Hey!! Look who's scrolled down to check the welcome text. I'll give a short welcome to you guys, and a couple of 'thank you' s for whatever button you clicked to have ended up here in this little blog of mine. It's nothing professional, but it surely is special! Not for you maybe, but just for your information I've wasted precious time just to make the blog appear decent and pretty in my opinion - not to mention all of the posts you see here! So don't judge before you actually look into things!
I've added a couple of pages just to organize all the things I have in this blog so that you guys have a better time of searching things up rather than having every post of different topics all jumbled up in one single home page.
Yeah, I think I'm done with my welcome text. Without further ado, welcome to my little blog of thoughts.

*You really didn't need to finish everything to start reading stuff here, but I appreciate it if you have. :)

Book Talk: The Warrior Heir

The Warrior Heir... Hmm. What's the first thing that pops into your mind? The thing that popped into my mind immediately was that this guy - whoever he is - is special. Maybe he's some kind of long lost warrior prince that was immensely powerful but had no idea of his own capabilities. Well, those were my first impressions. But as I read into it, I realize I haven't been expecting what I was going into.

I have been into a lot of worlds; demigods, mermaids, angels, you name them - but not one as complicatedly detailed as this one, in a good way. Though first I must warn those who are preparing to dig into this book, do not read it if you do not like third person perspectives.

As some books may be, this one isn't very interesting (for me) in the beginnings. It almost bored me out at first, but then I finally got to where he started discovering (SPOILER ALERT!!!) that he was a wizard-slash-warrior. The pace started picking up after the discovery, and the transitions were pretty smooth all the way; except for some switches between perspectives (I only noticed there was a change of perspective after the first two sentences). Yes, there are going to be more than one perspective in this book.

And as much as I'd love to read about an interesting love triangle, one thing that I loved about this book was that it didn't have that strong of a sense for romance - but it did mention and include a few of them (SPOILER: between the protagonist and the bystander-girl-who-became-his-enemy-slash-opponent-slash-lover; between the protagonist's mentor and his aunt; between the aforementioned mentor and the protagonist's great-great-great grandma; between the aforementioned-mentioned mentor and the protagonist's mother) ---> I know! I have no words.

Well, moving on... This book would be an excellent recommendation to guys. And girls. But especially guys. since it's kinda hard to come by a novel these days without a heroine that saves the day. And it would be a thrill to those who love fantasy worlds.

If you've finished reading this, be sure to check out the sequel The Wizard Heir! As I am going to right now!

The Selection News!

guys... Guys... GUYS!!!
Oh my my my!!!
I'm literally jumping up and down in excitement right now. You won't believe what I just found out. Okay, so I posted posts relating to a new novella from the Selection series, The Queen, from Queen Amberly's perspective (if you haven't checked that out, go. NOW.) Guess what, they're gonna publish another novella, The Favorite, from Marlee's perspective! And that's not even the best part!

They're gonna release TWO, not one, but TWO FULL-LENGTH NOVELS! (just having the caps-lock up just in case I didn't get your attention at first)

WOW! And one full length novel that's gonna be released in Spring 2015 (I know right, that's months away... but as long as we wait in patience, I believe we will not be disappointed. I hope), and it's called The Heir (it's probably some kind of story about America and Maxon's kid? just guessing there.) !

Don't believe me? Go see for yourself in Kiera Cass's blog right here: http://www.kieracass.com/

Oh, and before I forget, you also get to unlock 3 chapters of The Queen right here!

And here's a video from Kiera Cass announcing it:

Get excited guys!!!

Shatter Me: Book Talk

So... I was watching polandbananasBOOKS (go check her videos out! link below) one day, and she was talking about the book: Shatter Me. It appealed to me, so I got one and read it. It started out kinda boring at first, since all she talked about was her feelings in the cell - can't really blame her for that though, alone for a year! in a prison! - but then the plot gradually got me hooked. It was amazing. The way the author showed us Juliette's feelings (I know, I love the name too), it really reflected her in her situation. So. Go read it. After this.
Also, before you read it, prepare to get your heart torn in two. The love triangle was... heartbreaking. But of course, I chose a side: Team Aaron (or Warner - but first names are better)!

And here's a bonus wallpaper for you guys!

A synopsis too!
Juliette hasn’t touched anyone in exactly 264 days.

The last time she did, it was an accident, but The Reestablishment locked her up for murder. No one knows why Juliette’s touch is fatal. As long as she doesn’t hurt anyone else, no one really cares. The world is too busy crumbling to pieces to pay attention to a 17-year-old girl. Diseases are destroying the population, food is hard to find, birds don’t fly anymore, and the clouds are the wrong color.

The Reestablishment said their way was the only way to fix things, so they threw Juliette in a cell. Now so many people are dead that the survivors are whispering war – and The Reestablishment has changed its mind. Maybe Juliette is more than a tortured soul stuffed into a poisonous body. Maybe she’s exactly what they need right now.

Juliette has to make a choice: Be a weapon. Or be a warrior.
