Welcome to the Community!

Hey!! Look who's scrolled down to check the welcome text. I'll give a short welcome to you guys, and a couple of 'thank you' s for whatever button you clicked to have ended up here in this little blog of mine. It's nothing professional, but it surely is special! Not for you maybe, but just for your information I've wasted precious time just to make the blog appear decent and pretty in my opinion - not to mention all of the posts you see here! So don't judge before you actually look into things!
I've added a couple of pages just to organize all the things I have in this blog so that you guys have a better time of searching things up rather than having every post of different topics all jumbled up in one single home page.
Yeah, I think I'm done with my welcome text. Without further ado, welcome to my little blog of thoughts.

*You really didn't need to finish everything to start reading stuff here, but I appreciate it if you have. :)

Book Talk: Rapture

I posted a book review on Goodreads, Yay! Either go check it out there if you prefer Goodreads, or continue reading below! I used gifs this time, yay me! (London Tipton, anyone?)

This book has got to have one of the most bittersweet endings I have ever read. And that makes my emotions contradict each other. (Lauren Kate, why u do this?!?!) I don't even know if I want to cry or to smile. I have a hundred reasons to say that the ending ruined Luce and Daniel's lives, but also a hundred more to say that it's the perfect conclusion to this beautiful series. I couldn't think of a better way to say goodbye to my one of my favourite fictional couples.

Now, time for some actual book talk.
“Mortality is the most romantic story ever told. Just one chance to do everything you should. Then, magically, you move on.”
When both of them chose to live mortal lives together, I was just like. WHAT.

Losing immortality and all those angel superpowers are only part of the reason why I was so against them choosing to live mortal lives. What about their memories together? All those times they've found each other again and again in each lifetime - gone. They're all the same old tale of them falling for each other, but they're also individual pieces of their love for each other. Their love never would've grown this strong without those memories. Remember how easily Luce was swayed when another guy came into view? Daniel never was. Because he had the memories. He remembered every single thing they did together. Every precious moment. But Luce? She only felt the attraction that was the 'curse' that was brought unto them when Daniel chose her instead of a side. It wasn't love. Love isn't just a feeling or emotion, but the desire to protect that person you love even when it means giving up your own life. And that isn't something you would feel for a stranger.

Luce got all of their memories back, she found out more about their love, and it was finally complete. But they chose to give it all up.

Although... considering the circumstances and the limited options that they have, I would have to agree that they made the best choice that was possible. At least they still get a chance to start anew and relive their love. The catch though: ONE life. ONE chance to find each other. If they don't meet, then that's that. They gave up everything for nothing. But oh Daniel...
"I'm afraid," she whispered.
"What did I tell you?"
She sifted through the million exchanges she and Daniel had ever shared-the good, the sad, the ugly. One rose above the clouds of her mind.
She was shaking. "That you will always find me."
"Yes. Always. No matter what."
"Daniel-"
"I can't wait to make you the love of my mortal life."
"But you won't know me. You won't remember. Everything will be different."
He wiped away her tear with his thumb. "And you think that will stop me?"
She closed her eyes. "I love you too much to say goodbye."
"It isn't goodbye." He gave her one last angelic kiss and embraced her so tightly she could hear his steady heartbeat, overlapping her own. "It's until we meet again.”
And then, there's the final sentence of the series. Final. Sentence. (in case you didn't get that the first time) It's so beautiful, and so sad.
“Luce and Daniel fell in love for the first- and the last- time”

If this isn't enough torture for you, I'll tell you that I legit cried for 2 days straight. With an additional of random teary moments whenever I remember Luce and Daniel out of the blue.

Lauren Kate, you destroy me.

But, exciting news is, the Fallen movie is going to come out very soon, and I can't wait to experience Fallen all over again! And I won't regret crying over it again and again. It's too beautiful.
